YT Industries releases the new Uncaged 11 series – Pinkbike

Fast with rights. Sharp by design. Agile by nature. The Izzo Uncaged 11 embodies the katana sword and claims your local trails with ruthless efficiency. At the heart of the Ultra Modulus Carbon frame is the Öhlins TTX1 air shock, offering 130mm of controlled rear travel via the V4LR kinematic, while up front is the venerable RXF36 M.2 with 140mm of travel. Both of these units use Öhlins’ world-renowned twin-tube damping technology with high- and low-speed compression rebound and adjustment. New for 2023, SRAM’s latest groupset release is in the mix – GX Eagle AXS Transmission. Powerful ratio changes under maximum power are now possible, allowing you to dig deep with confidence.

Crankbrothers Synthesis XTC carbon wheels are another standout spec. The Synthesis philosophy utilizes unique front and rear carbon layouts, rim widths and multiple spokes, improving handling, maximizing grip and enhancing speed. Grip is further improved by switching to capable Maxxis Minion DHR II tyres, while SRAM G2 RSC four-piston brakes with adjustable bite point. Completing the finishing kit is a Race Face Next carbon bar and turbine stem combo, ODI grips, SDG Bel Air 3.0 saddle and RockShox Reverb AXS dropper.

If you’re looking for a mixed wheel bump that brings traction and composure to the trail, the Capra Uncaged 11 is for you. Continuing the electric yellow theme, the High Modulus carbon frame features 170mm of travel at each end – this time with Öhlins RXF38 M.2 fork up front and Öhlins TTX22 M coil shock rear. Borrowing technology from its bigger DH sibling, the RXF38 M.2 uses a triple air chamber to tune start, mid and end stroke characteristics, while the damper allows for all forms of compression adjustment. Crankbrothers supplies the Synthesis Enduro carbon wheelset, wrapped in a rugged combination of Maxxis Minion Assegai and DHR II tires. This model also packs premium rubber right out of the box – dual casing rear and sticky MaxxGrip compound up front. For shifting, the SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed derailleur features and the wireless theme continues with the proven RockShox AXS dropper. The YT is not one to cut corners, and this rider-focused spec is completed with an E*Thirteen TRS Plus chain guide, SRAM Code RSC brakes and a factory-spec Renthal cockpit.

There’s no substitute for displacement when it comes to travel – with 200mm of sport suspension on 27.5in wheels, the Tues Uncaged 11 is here for massive hits at lightning speed. Featuring a hydroformed aluminum frame available in 5 sizes, these Tues are built for an extensive height range of big hitters and speed seekers. The flagship Öhlins DH38 double-crown fork uses the same triple air chamber and damping technology as its RXF38 little brother, as well as the TTX22 M coil at the heart of the bike for maximum performance. The cockpit is a Renthal Fatbar and Integra stem combo, with SRAM Code RSC brakes, ODI lockout grips and an SDG I-Fly saddle. Protecting the dedicated SRAM XO1 7-speed groupset downhill and keeping gears sweet is an E*Thirteen TRS chainset with a protective cover. This time Crankbrothers Synthesis rims are also rocking aluminum, matched and matched with MAXXIS Assegai in the stickier MaxxGrip compound front and rear.
