India World Cup 2023 Schedule: Full Schedule with PDF, Match List, Time Table, Date, Venue and Time. The schedule for ICC World Cup 2023 has already been announced. BCCI is the host and will start their campaign against Australia in Chennai on October 8.

New Zealand and England face each other on October 5 in Ahmedabad to officially kick off the campaign. The World Cup will be played across 10 stadiums in the country with Mumbai and Kolkata hosting one semi-final each. Ahmedabad will host the final on November 19.

The ICC World Cup 2023 will be played in a round robin phase with all the top teams playing each other once in the league phase. The top four teams will be knocked out with the top two playing in the final. The format remains the same with the 2019 World Cup. The Men in Blue last won an ICC title in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni which was the ICC Champions Trophy. Since then it has been a decade as India waited for the next ICC title.

The Men in Blue have repeatedly lost in semi-finals and finals of ICC events over the past decade with the team facing severe criticism for not winning an ICC final. They have lost as many as nine ICC finals in the last decade with the last of them being the ICC T20 World Cup semi-final against England.

Rohit Sharma will lead in this ICC event. He along with Virat Kohli will be the two key batsmen on whom the entire nation will pin its hopes. Among the bowlers, the return of Jasprit Bumrah is the home side’s biggest concern right now. The top paceman was ruled out with a back injury from the T20 World Cup last year and also missed the WTC final against Australia recently.

Among the batsmen, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant are also recovering from their respective injuries. In the absence of these, the middle class looks very weak right now.

KS Bharat and Ishan Kishan have both been retained for the upcoming Test series against the West Indies. For the ODIs, Sanju Samson was recalled to the side along with Ishan Kishan as the other option.
